forming ecology is our annual gathering at Cove Park, which brings together the full breadth of our stakeholders. Team members, participants, community members, artists, facilitators and our advisory and research groups all gather across the event, each holding a relationship to the organisation that this time is designed to honour and deepen.

The event intentionally shares its name with how we describe ourselves, as  a (forming) ecology, and this gathering is where our modelling vision is most apparent. At the end of a year of programme forming ecology organises as rooted sense of return, weaving all components of our activity into a cohesive experience of creation, remembrance with the intimacy of imagining and co-designing our conditions.

The event unfolds as a curated programme of movement, creation, rest and listening, working with artists and practitioners to deliver what is often remarked as an unforgettable and deeply nourishing experience. It is important to us that this gathering takes place in a rural setting, bringing community formation into conversation with the landscape. Time together moves gently, with space for creative play, wandering and quiet. It is also where we share our annual review, reflect on our activities and practices and exchange ideas, integrating the architecture of testimony and feedback into the flow of the day. What emerges shapes our planning, programming and organisational thinking for the year ahead.
